ELF HATS
After a small amount of consistent prodding, I have started listing my crochet alf hats in the etsy shop. There are more to come. But it has begun. Very special thanks to Leah Buckareff for modeling her hat. And to this cute little girl from the Renegade Fair in Chicago.

STORES, NEW AND OLD
So I have set up a couple of new shops and restocked some old favorites. First up, we now have our first store in the geater Detroit area, Have You Any Wool in Berkley. They mostly stock our knitting related buttons but have a few others, too. And lots of yarn!
We also just dropped off some of our newest commissioned artist sets at Renegade Handmade, the new bricks and mortar venture for the ladies of the Renegade Craft Fair.
Aaaaaand, our Chicago shops have been fully loaded with new sweetie pie goods - that's Chicago Comics, Clothes Optional, Paper Boy & Uncle Fun. Whether you want to buy buttons or not, these are all great independent establishments in which to do your
holiday shopping.
We also just sent off a big new package to our Olympia store, Dumpster Values. That place rocks!

Jesjit is a kind and gentle soul and ridiculously talented toronto silkscreen artist. for this set, he has selected choice sections from one of his favorite original posters. for this reason, all the sets are totally different and one of a kind.
These guys will be avavilable at upcoming fairs and via our Etsy shop.

TRAMPOLINE HALL COMIC ZINE
Tonight's Trampoline Hall is being documented by a slew of comic book artists (thrown together by a man named Sean Craig). Over the next six days, we here at the sweetie pie press (read: I) will be assembling all this into a comic zine of stenographic proportions. This zine will be released on Sunday at Hotel Canzine.
Come and get it!

SO MANY SHOWS
We've been busy filling up our fall/holiday schedule with shows all over the place. This fall is not as ambitious as last year's, as we have decided to stay a bit closer to home. But this choice affords us the chance to go to some shows we have never done before - like Handmade Arcade (Piitsburgh) & The Handmande Detroit Holiday Market (michigan mitten pictured below).
Check the shows section for all the fun.

CITY OF CRAFT
Okay, so I'm a little late in posting this, but I am involved in presenting this large-scale craft event this December called City of Craft. It will be full of crafty vendors, organisations, installations and fun. Applications are now closed for vendors and exhibitors, but you can still get involved as a volunteer. Or just come take it all in!

07.17.07
BADGE/BUTTON/PIN
It's real. The sweetie pie press has a copy of this lovely little book in our collective hands (oh, also our argyle pins and a little write-up are featured in it). Want to buy one? They are avaialble all over but why not start here. Or, for the limited edition, take a wander over here. Pretty swank, eh?

06.14.07
LOOP DISTRO & ZINES
Billy from Loop Distro picked up a bunch of my zines on my trip through Chicago. I suppose this means that they will someday be listed on the website. But you know, no big deal.
Zines from the sweetie pie press were also picked up but fabulous zine stores Atmoic Books (Baltimore, MD), Quimby's (Chicago, IL) & Chicago Comics (Chicago, IL).

For those of you who don't know (but who do care), the sweetie pie press is on the road right now. We've signed on for a couple of big craft fairs and are travelling with the Big Art Show in between. Still to come: Kalamazoo, Chicago, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and a weekend of fairs in Toronto. Check the shows page for all the details.
Also on tour with me is Rev. Aitor who has taken his Unflattering Portraits project to the masses of America.
If you like, you can look at pictures of our travels on flickr or see the Gallery of Unflattering I've made here.

05.10.07
BADGE/BUTTON/PIN
The sweetie pie press just couldn't be more tickled than when we were invited to be a part of Badge/Button/Pin, a new book on global badge/button/pin culture and design. It is the brain child and multi-year project of Gavin Lucas from Creative Review and is launching one week from today in London, England. Sadly, I will not be attending. Maybe you can?

It will be on August 19th and chock full of awesome local vendors. So get ready, Parkdale because here comes...

STUPID RESTOCKING
I just got back from restocking luminous Parkdale establishment, I'm With Stupid. Although they do not sell my stuff via their website, they are the only online retailer I know of Hilarious House of Frightenstein merch by Stacey Case. If you don't yet know what Frightenstein is, you should really make it your business to find out.
